At Little Dessert Shop, we pride ourselves on being AHEAD of the curve when it comes to innovation and our contribution to viral dessert trends. Whether you're an influencer, dessert connoisseur or you just hate to be late on the bandwagon. We’ve done hours of research paired with our vast knowledge of dessert trends and compiled a list of viral desserts of 2023!
Tradition with a Twist!
Nothing beats a classic and just like the famous scene from ratatouille, one bite can transport you back to a time, memory and even feeling. Finding a nostalgic classic and giving it a little millennial makeover is totally trending!

This trending dessert style has coined the name “Newstalgia.” Customers are enticed with products and creations that offer the comfort of the familiar with the added excitement of new concepts and flavours! By adding a new twist to a familiar concept, the customer enjoys a beloved childhood experience whilst trying something new.
Think Macha cupcakes, Banana split gelato and Milkshake Doughnuts! A great example is Little Dessert Shop’s “School Fave’s” collection; which features the classic Retro Sprinkle tray cake, Concrete cake and a Cornflake tart.
Without trying to replicate the classic desserts exactly we added a Little Dessert Shop twist and flair to the products keeping flavours close to home but still adding new elements for those looking for a unique experience.
Smaller “Street food” grab & go style desserts.
We put the “Little” in Little Dessert Shop! Sometimes… As well as our big sharing boxes like the Viral Dunking Box and Stadia box it's important to remember those with a big sweet tooth and a small appetite!
A portable, single-serving dessert allows customers to try a new flavour without committing to a larger food item and offers an on-the-go indulgence that won't slow them down. Think Amsterdam desserts on the go!

Petite bites that capture big flavours in small portions! Mini patisseries, dessert tapas and handheld pleasures you can eat on the go!
It’s not just about on-the-go convenience! You can make a BIG impact with a small dish! Presentation is key here, we’ve all seen the fanciest restaurants impress with tiny portions.
Little Dessert Shop's Chocolate Journey now includes Pistachio Chocolate.
Fantastic Futuristic Flavours!
A generation with good taste! There is always room for classics but new and exciting flavours are on the rise! Everything from Pistachio to “Birthday Cake” flavoured.
Take Oreo® for example! The popular cookies and cream biscuits went viral for their exciting and trendy new flavours! A sensational step to take an already iconic sweet treat and elevate it to become a timeless staple.
Oreo® introduced flavours to include everything from Red velvet, Peanut Butter, Mint, and even Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie! They have now opened the door to endless possibilities and introduced Oreo Thins, a lighter way to indulge; this innovative twist is sure to be trending in 2023 and we are excited to see what’s to come next!

Speaking of Fantastic futuristic flavours, our signature chocolate range has a new addition! Introducing Pistachio chocolate! Not only is the chocolate available for dipping, but it is also a part of our dessert creations creation exciting new combinations!
We have also introduced, Reeces®, Areo®, Milkybar® and Malteeser® and created spectacular combinations whether its a crepe, waffle, cookie dough or a Milkybar & Oreo tiffin anyone? Featured in our viral Dunking Box… Allowing for multiple dipping, pairing and dunking combinations… I think we've got this trend down to a T.

Think about the dalgona coffee trend from lockdown! Better yet, think BUBBLE TEA! Drink trends have had consumer attention for some time and we dont see it stopping anytime soon!
Spectacular milkshakes, mocktails and whacky combination drinks are all the range and we predict the same for 2023.
Layers, colours and presentation with an innovative twist is key! Nothing beats a perfectly balanced Macha latte with that signature green marble milky touch!

A perfect example of this is our sensational new Spanish latte collection, an innovative product combining normal milk and condensed milk, our espresso-based drink comes with an awesome interactive element! The customer is served the product deconstructed when dining in, allowing the customer to create the spectacular creation before their eyes!
The collection includes flavours like pistachio, Turkish delight, chocolate and Rose!
