Store Manager - Full Time
All of our Store Managers are essential cogs in the running of our Little Dessert Shop stores. A Little Dessert Shop store manager should be passionate about customer service and fired up with the idea of running a successful business. You should be happy and quick to learn and ambition is welcomed! We love a can do attitude, someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved! It is the job of the store manager to not only run the store successfully but to motivate and manage a team of creative individuals! This fast paced job is ever changing and requires an energetic, self-motivated, hard-working individual who is focused on getting results. As well as recruiting staff, you will train, lead and motivate them. You need to be confident in managing the performance of staff including lateness, absences, attitude, performance and any other issues that may arise. You must also be able to appropriately resolve any customer complaints or queries in a timely manner. Flexibility is a must as hours may be long and evening, weekend and bank holiday working will be required and expected. You may also need to travel to provide cover or training at our other sites and to attend meetings. You will also be responsible for: Maintaining stock levels and ordering stock Cashing up and reconciliation of the tills, maintaining the float and that there is adequate change for the trading period ahead Developing staff rotas and ensuring the store is staffed appropriately for the trading period Ensuring the store is fully compliant with all Hygiene, Health and Safety regulations General upkeep and maintenance of the store Following the operational guidelines Maintaining the brand standard Any other task in the course of your duties In return you will receive ongoing support, training and development and the chance to earn a bonus depending on the performance of your store. There is also scope for career progression, as the company grows so will the opportunities for advancement. Salary will be negotiable on experience. Essential criteria: You must have the right to live and work in the UK Experience in a restaurant/retail (restaurant, bar, coffee shop) environment. However, training will be provided for the right applicant GCSE in English and Maths A-D Able to use Microsoft Office and Outlook A qualification in hospitality is not essential but would be an advantage.
